Learning to Illustrate Textures: Techniques for Architects, Designers, and Renders

Learning to draw textures takes imagination and practice, but mastering this ability will be worth all the effort you put into it.  Texture is the lifeblood of your drawing, website, design etc. It makes it come alive.  Textures adds depth and can give an almost tactile quality to what you illustrate.  There is no limit to the variiations that you can create when delineating different surfaces. Here are a few samples for you to practice with.  After you have mastered these, start to create other textures of your own. Hope these help and bring you a little inspiration.
